VEPOWER has been engaged by both the National Federal government of Pakistan and the provincial Punjab Government to work with local agencies and business to develop a bioenergy industry within the Country.

VEPOWER is developing plans to assist in rehabilitating lands damaged by the 2010 monsoon flooding and to help reduce the impact of future deluges. In 2008 the Federal Government tabled a motion to use 5% biodiesel in the National fuel pool by 2015.  This would employ more than 21000 labourers in the fields alone.
